Hospitality technology platform Tech on Toast has rebranded as Stacked, bringing its advisory, marketplace, media, events and recruitment operations together under a single identity.

The change, which took effect on 1 September, will see the company’s technology marketplace, podcast, events, recruitment business and operator advisory services all operate under the Stacked brand. The business said the move was designed to simplify its proposition for hospitality operators looking for support with technology and digital transformation.

Stacked works with hundreds of hospitality operators each year and provides free independent technology advice covering areas including point-of-sale systems, artificial intelligence and wider digital transformation. Its recruitment arm, which previously operated separately under the Stacked name, will now sit alongside the company’s other services as part of the consolidated business.

Founder Chris Fletcher said:

“Companies evolve, and this feels like the right next step for us. We kept finding ourselves explaining what Tech on Toast actually meant, especially to operators who just wanted to know we could help them modernise for free. Stacked gives us one name that can grow with the business and brings recruitment and Tech on Toast together as the single operation they have really always been. But the mission hasn’t changed: we want every hospitality business, whatever its size, to have somewhere independent to turn when it is trying to digitise.”

The company said its underlying mission would remain unchanged, with hospitality operators continuing to have access to independent technology advice at no cost.

Alongside its advisory services, Stacked operates a technology marketplace connecting hospitality businesses with technology vendors, as well as running industry events and a podcast. The business said bringing these services under one identity would also make the proposition easier to introduce as it moves into new markets.
