One iota has launched Amplify, a Shopify-native kiosk app designed to help retailers extend their full ecommerce offering into physical stores.
Available now through the Shopify marketplace, Amplify allows customers to browse a retailer’s entire product catalogue in-store before completing purchases on their own mobile device via QR code. The launch is aimed at helping retailers overcome the physical limitations of shelf space while creating a more connected omnichannel experience.
One iota, which works with brands including HUGO BOSS, Regatta and Pro:Direct, says the technology has already been tested in live retail environments before being released as a scalable product.
Amplify connects directly into Shopify, syncing product, pricing and inventory data in real time. Customers can browse products in-store, build a basket and then check out on their own device, while retailers can use the platform to support assisted selling or self-service experiences.
The business says the app can be deployed on existing devices within minutes, removing some of the cost and technical barriers traditionally associated with in-store retail innovation.
The launch reflects wider pressure on retailers to make stores work harder while meeting growing customer expectations around connected shopping journeys. As mobile continues to dominate ecommerce traffic, retailers are increasingly looking for ways to bridge the gap between online convenience and physical retail experiences.
Amplify forms part of One iota’s wider Shopify ecosystem, which also includes applications focused on customer service and retail performance insights.
”Retailers have invested heavily in ecommerce, but stores haven’t always kept pace. Amplify brings that capability into the physical space. It gives every store access to innovation that was previously only available to a handful of large retailers.
Joe Till, CEO of One iota
Stores still matter hugely, but their role is evolving. The opportunity is to combine physical experience with the scale of ecommerce, without adding cost or complexity. That’s what Amplify unlocks.
