Marks & Spencer is set to deploy Vusion’s Connected Store platform across a number of new stores, as the retailer continues to invest in technology to improve its shopfloor operations and customer experience.

The rollout will introduce Vusion’s EdgeSense platform, which uses Bluetooth-enabled digital shelf labels to help store colleagues access product information and work more efficiently.

The technology is designed to make everyday tasks easier for store teams, allowing colleagues to locate products using location-aware features such as flashing shelf labels, while also supporting inventory management and the updating of product information.

The deployment will initially focus on improving operational efficiency, with the infrastructure also providing a foundation for further digital capabilities as M&S continues to modernise its store estate.

Roy Horgan, CEO UK & Ireland at Vusion, said:

“We are pleased to be working with M&S as it continues to invest in its store estate and colleague experience. Our Connected Store platform is designed to help retailers improve operational execution while providing the infrastructure to support future innovation.”
