Time Out Group is to launch its Market concept in London’s Piccadilly Circus in 2028, making it either the 18th or 19th Time Out Market worldwide (depending on other opening timetables). Occuping one of Europe’s highest-footfall destinations and attracting approximately 74 million annual visitors across Regent Street, the venue will be a platform for hospitality, culture, sponsorship, live events and experiential retail, reinforcing Time Out Market London’s position as the global flagship of the Time Out Market portfolio.

Since launching the first Time Out Market in Lisbon in 2014, the concept has expanded across four continents, now operating 13 Markets that welcome more than 12 million visitors annually and showcase 300+ chef-led kitchens, restaurants and bars. London represents the next chapter of a globally proven hospitality platform.

Occupying a prominent position at the intersection of Regent Street, Piccadilly and Piccadilly Circus, the iconic building stands at the heart of London’s West End, one of the world’s most recognisable retail and cultural destinations. The Market will span more than 26,400 sq ft across three floors and feature a carefully curated collection of London’s chefs, restaurateurs, bars, food businesses and cultural experiences.

Chris Ohlund, CEO of Time Out Group plc, said:

“London is one of the world’s greatest cities for food and culture, and there is no better location than Piccadilly Circus to showcase everything that makes it extraordinary.

As our global flagship, Time Out Market London will also become the blueprint for the next generation of Time Out Markets, bringing together hospitality, culture, media, sponsorship and live experiences in a way that only Time Out can deliver.”

Charles Owen, Head of Regent Street at The Crown Estate, said:

“Set within this carefully restored historic building, Time Out Market will introduce an exciting new food and drink destination in the heart of London’s West End. As significant investment and development continue to take shape across the area, it will further strengthen Regent Street’s hospitality offer, helping to drive footfall, broaden the destination’s appeal and meet growing demand from the millions of people who visit, live and work here each year.”

More than just a food destination, Time Out Market London will reflect the diversity, creativity and energy that define the capital. Alongside its culinary offering, Time Out Market London will host live music, performances, talks, exhibitions and other cultural events throughout the year. It will create a destination where Londoners and visitors can eat, drink, discover and connect, while providing a platform for the capital’s chefs, musicians, performers and artists.
