Morrisons, one of the UK’s largest supermarket chains, has selected Everseen, to deploy its AI-based Evercheck solution to make the self-checkout process faster and less error-prone, helping customers get out of the store faster and letting staff focus on other tasks.

As customer expectations evolve toward faster, more convenient shopping experiences, self-service checkouts have become increasingly popular with Morrisons customers, ensuring a quick and efficient way to pay for items.

Everseen’s Evercheck platform uses real-time computer vision to simplify the self-checkout process. Gentle, on-screen prompts allow shoppers to easily correct any missed items themselves, keeping queues moving. The software integrates seamlessly with existing systems, optimising store operations and freeing store teams to focus entirely on customer service. The technology will be rolled out across 200 stores in its initial phase.

Francesca Bezoari, Store Support Office Director at Morrisons, said:

“Our new partnership with Everseen enables us to provide the fast and seamless checkout experience our customers want, while simultaneously equipping our colleagues to maintain the exceptional service that Morrisons is known for.”

Following a successful trial, Morrisons committed to deploying Everseen’s Vision AI technology to address a critical challenge in modern retail: Delivering the convenience and speed of self-checkout while maintaining a seamless, frustration-free shopping experience for customers.

Joe White, CEO of Everseen, said:

“[The] Vision AI platform enables Morrisons to improve its satisfaction scores, proving that operational performance and customer service aren’t competing priorities.”
