Marks & Spencer has expanded its partnership with Zalando’s ZEOS logistics business across 22 markets in continental Europe following a successful trial in Poland.

ZEOS now fulfils M&S’s entire online direct-to-consumer operation across the region, including its largest European ecommerce markets of France, Germany, the Netherlands and Spain.

The Polish trial began earlier this month and delivered an immediate improvement in performance. During its first week, customer demand increased by 22%, while conversion improved by more than 97%.

M&S first announced the expanded partnership in November 2025 as part of its plans to grow its international online business through scalable and capital-light operating models.

By using ZEOS’s European fulfilment network and a single stock pool, the retailer has reduced delivery times and cut delivery costs by up to 58%. M&S said its wider logistics costs could be reduced by as much as half.

ZEOS also supports other UK brands selling across the region, including luxury outerwear retailer Jack1t, which uses the service to fulfil marketplace and direct-to-consumer orders from a unified stock pool.

Returns are also being processed more quickly, with return times falling from as many as 35 days to eight days. This allows returned products to be placed back on sale sooner, helping to improve stock availability for customers.

The European rollout comes as M&S continues to report momentum across its international online business, supported by growing demand for its fashion ranges. It forms part of the retailer’s wider investment in its supply chain, ecommerce capabilities and digital transformation.

Mark Lemming, Managing Director of International at M&S, said:

“We have a clear ambition to grow our International business by bringing the best of M&S to more customers around the world. As demand for our Fashion products grow across Europe, it’s vital that we offer a seamless online shopping experience that matches the quality of our product.

By partnering with ZEOS, we’re able to improve speed, availability and service for customers, while creating a more efficient and scalable platform to support our future growth in Europe.”

M&S first partnered with Zalando Fulfilment Solutions in 2022 to support marketplace sales across Europe. The operation fulfils M&S orders placed through Zalando, About You and Amazon.
