Wendy’s is introducing its new Future Fresh restaurant concept to the UK as it marks five years since returning to the market, with refreshed restaurants in Reading and Kingston showcasing the brand’s latest approach to digital ordering, customer experience and restaurant design.

The new concept is being rolled out across Wendy’s international markets as part of the company’s wider growth strategy, creating a more modern, digitally enabled restaurant experience while maintaining the brand’s heritage.

Developed using insights from customers, franchisees and learnings from international expansion, Future Fresh brings together restaurant design, digital experiences and brand identity into a single concept.

The refreshed UK restaurants feature redesigned exteriors centred around Wendy’s signature blue branding, helping the restaurants stand out in busy high streets and retail destinations while paying homage to the company’s original blue and white restaurant design.

Inside, customers will experience updated layouts, refreshed branding and technology designed to support both digital and in-restaurant ordering, creating a more seamless journey from ordering through to collection and dining.

The concept has also been designed with flexibility in mind, allowing individual restaurants to reflect the character of their local communities while maintaining a consistent global Wendy’s identity.

Michael Clarke, Managing Director of Wendy’s UK, said:

“Future Fresh represents the next chapter of Wendy’s growth journey in the UK. As we celebrate five years in the market, it’s important that our restaurants reflect the modern, high-quality experience customers expect while staying true to the heritage and personality that makes Wendy’s unique. We’re excited to bring this refreshed look and feel to Reading and Kingston, giving customers more reasons than ever to visit.”

The refurbishment of the Reading and Kingston locations represents the latest phase of Wendy’s ongoing investment in the UK as it continues to expand its presence and enhance the customer experience.
